Useful IBM i tip - Checking for damaged objects after restarting a crashed IBM i server.

From time to time we have customer’s reporting issues that are ultimately traced to objects damaged in a system crash (eg: power outage).
The most common ones seem to be related to data and message queues.

This tip http://www.rpgpgm.com/2016/04/identifyi ... ign=buffer

describes how to write a small CL program that you always run after restarting a crashed IBM i to locate damaged objects.
Since objects can become damaged for reasons other than a system crash, running this one a week (say) might be a good system health check.
