Here is an update on the status of the Apple ATS / HTTPS App Store situation …………….
Closer investigation by us has revealed that only people using OS/400 (IBM i) versions 7.2 and 7.3 can support Apples proposed new HTTPS requirement.
IBM have also indicated that they have no plan to back fit the required support onto OS/400 versions 7.1, 6.1 or 5.4.
As a result of discovering this, we are now discussing this situation with Apple.
So for the moment the planned move to HTTPS is stalled.
These the things you need to be aware of:
• There is nothing more for you to do at the moment.
• We will keep you informed as the situation progresses.
• In January, nothing will change to stop anything you have from working as it does right now.
• In January, applications you download from the App store will still function exactly as they do now.
