[RDMLX]aXes in Webview

Hi,
When using LongRange for LANSA(RDMLX), the customer would like to imbed aXes screen in its webview.
Is this supported feature?
They have both licences(i.e. LongRange RDMLX and aXes).
It seems error occurs even if aXes version is V2.11. It says "Server does not support mobile application, please upgrade your server."
Is this "imbedding aXes in RDMLX webview" not supported?
Best Regards,
Megumi

It may work – but it may be that the imbedded WebView session appears to be an aXes-Mobile session to the aXes web server.
I think you should sent this one via support.

To imbed an aXes 5250 sessions inside a LongRange application you need to use the aXes-Mobile feature of the aXes server.
To use the aXes-Mobile feature you need to:
1- Use an aXes server version that support aXes-Mobile. That means aXes 3.10 or aXes 2.20 with a hot fix applied.
2- Your aXes server needs to be licensed to run aXes Mobile clients.
An aXes server license enables or disables the use of these features:
• aXes-TS/TS2 sessions in a web browser (ie: normal aXes).
• LongRange mobile clients.
• aXes-Mobile clients (which includes aXes-TS sessions imbedded in LongRange applications).
In this situation it appears from the error message that step 1 needs to be completed first.
Step 2 may mean that the customer’s aXes server license needs to be reissued with the appropriate features enabled.

When using aXes-Mobile (aXes 5250 sessions) in LongRange web views the session will end when the user navigates to another formview or webview.
There is an option in LongRange Studio to keep the webview session alive:

- shot1.png (13.42 KiB) Viewed 4309 times
You also need to account for the resources required to keep web view sessions open (especially more than one) on mobile devices.
