When you install LongRange there is a list of mandatory IBM supplied PTFs that you first need to have applied to your IBM i server (see http://www.longrangemobile.com/docs/LRInstall/index.htm).

The list was changed recently - if you are using V5R3M0, V5R4M0 or V5R4M5 you need PTFs to allow you to install any IBM i program (*PGM) object that was compiled on a V6R1+ IBM i system.

You most likely have installed these PTFs via your normal CUME updates – but it’s worth checking before attempting an installation.
