Android version/Kernel version/Version number

In LongRange Supported platforms guide, I’ve seen a list of Android Devices and Versions Used as Testing Reference Platforms.

In smartphone or tablet, you can also see Kernel version (Linux version) and the Version number.

Can these Kernel version/Version number influence or alter some LongRange or LongReach functionalities?

Possible, but not likely.
The kernel version generally is the same for one Android version, across different devices.
