RDMLX vs. RPG
Can this forum have tags or categories to separate content based on RDMLX coding and RPG coding?

That is what main page requests people do - tag posts as (RPG) or (RDMLX) as appropriate - http://longrange.lansa.com.au/
The forum moderators will attempt to add these when people forget.
IMO putting (RPG) and (RDMLX) into completely separate bins is not going to work – people will use the wrong ones by accident anyway.
It might even be counter-productive from the ideas (as opposed to program coding) perspective – for example if I see an post “(RPG) How do I create a Google map with directions?” it might trigger a useful idea - with an subsequent 'translation' to RDMLX not being that hard.
