LongRange SystemTrace

Hi all,

I would like to know about the LongRange SystemTrace.
SystemTrace is taken with the settings, allowClientToControlServerTrace to True in "/LongRange/config/client.xml".

In this case,
Question 1. When is the trace file created?
Question 2. What is written in the trace file?
Question 3. Is the trace file created and written even if it is not an error?

Hi Rieko,

The tracefile is created in /LANSA_XXXPGMLIB/webserver/images/LongRange/tracing.
The contents of the files are pretty cryptic. It appears to be logging internal LongRange activities. Take a look for yourself. It does appear to log some values when calling LongRange specific methods. I did not find it very useful for me.
It appears to always write the file.

I find the ApplicationTrace file much more useful as you can log your own data.
